Vertical integration - when a company can produce, distribute and consume products. Positive - the companies can advertise their products on the subsidiaries for as long as they want. 

Synergy - choosing the best  method of marketing for the most profit 

Horizontal integration - use subsidiaries companies cross promote

Joint venture - companies working together on products that benefits both

Cross media ownership 

Conglomerates- WeChat, BBC, Disney

Independent - WARP films (This Is England), Hat Tricks Production, Wix

Horizontal integration - Conglomerate companies distribute their products on their subsidiaries. 

BBC uses Barb to see the competition between programmes such as Eastenders and Coronation Street with ITV.
